There are a number of restaurants that serve Bang Bang Shrimp but the Bonefish Grill is probably the most famous so I tried to come close to theirs. It’s a guessing game to figure out any restaurants recipe, but this one came very close! I hope you enjoy?
Bang Bang Shrimp ingredients:
1/4 cup Mayonnaise
1/2 cup Thai Chili Sauce (I used Maggi Thai Sweet Chili Sauce)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1lb large shrimp (remove from shell and devein)
Chopped scallion
2 tsp Sriracha
1 cup corn starch
Vegetables or Peanut oil
Bang Bang Shrimp method:
In a medium size bowl, combine Thai sweet chili sauce, mayo, Sriracha and garlic powder.
Lightly coat the shrimp in corn starch and shake off excess.
Fry the shrimp until lightly brown and crispy.
Set shrimp aside on paper towel to cool slightly.
Add shrimp to chili sauce mixture and mix to cover shrimp all over.
Serve shrimp over a bed of lettuce and top with chopped scallion!
My wife said these were better than bonefish….she often flatters me! Enjoy!
